The EQIP PROGRAM |
The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) program was designed to encourage a producer to perform land management practices including irrigation water management. Cost-sharing may pay up to 75%-90% of the costs of certain conservation practices. Ritchie waterers have been included many times in these conservation practices. Applications may be obtained and filed at any time through your local USDA Service Center or conservation district office. Applications also may be obtained through USDA's e-gov web site at http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/programs/eqip/. |

| Other ways you will be saving |
Time - How much time do you spend each day filling stock tanks, buckets, or other items with water. Install a Ritchie Automatic Waterer and spend your time otherwise. Heating - During the winter, an average stock tank costs an average of $100 a month to heat. A Ritchie Automatic Waterer, that can water up to 40 head, can be heated for an average of $30 for the entire winter. By the end of the winter, your waterer has practically paid for itself. See the estimated energy cost per unit by clicking here. Cleaning - For stock tank owners, how difficult is it to dump the tank to clean. No dumping is required to clean a Ritchie. Simply remove a drain plug, scrub the trough, and replace the drain plug. Minimal water is wasted and the unit will refill on its own. No need to wait as it refills. |
